Back on the Gringo trail!

Well I'm not quite on the gringo trail this time. But I am back in God's own country, by which I mean Latin America. And it does feel great to be home.

My gentle readers, you now find me in Zacatecas, Zacatecas, MX and under duress from a much loved teacher and friend I'm back on Blogspot, or Blogger or whatever this damned website is!
So here I am. Or Nican Niitztoc as the locals say (well not locals here, but the locals somewhere where all the Aztec descendants didn't die in brutal servitude in a silver mine).

I'm here to study Nahuatl, which is also known as Aztec or Mexican, as Mexico is actually a Nahuatl word, and referred to the Aztec empire rather than where all the villains in American cop shows come from.

I'm also here to teach English in the University, or Uaz as it's better known, and if the gods do smile, improve my Spanish and develop a terrifying hybrid accent, comprising of English Spanish, Argentinian Spanish, Spanish teacher Spanish and good old fashioned Mexican campesino Spanish.

And now, thanks be to John, I'm here to keep you all posted on my adventures.
